Synopsis

In the fragile peace following the unlikely alliance forged on Acheron Prime, which saw Luke Skywalker and his redeemed father, Anakin, attempt to mend the galaxy, Vala, now a recognized figure and partner to the enigmatic Kaelen, finds herself venturing back into the lawless depths of the Scarred Expanse. Their mission, once again off-the-books, takes them away from the political complexities of the New Republic to investigate a series of strange, powerful energy anomalies emanating from the treacherous Whispering Nebula. Isolated and relying solely on each other, Vala and Kaelen must navigate not only the hazardous environment of the Expanse, from the derelict-strewn Glimmering Wastes to pockets of lingering hostility from remnants unwilling to accept the changing galaxy, but also the growing intensity of their own bond as trust is tested under extreme pressure.
